The second expansion in the Black and White Series, Emerging Powers introduced Reverse Holo(Foil) cards, these cards replaced the plain MirrorFoil pattern. The new card designs featured the cards type across the background of the card excluding the artwork, trainer cards would feature a pokeball instead of energy types if they were reverse holos. Emerging Powers also introduced QR code cards, enabling players to redeem digital versions of Theme Decks and Booster packs in the Pokemon Trade Card Game Online.
The set released in August 2011 with 98 cards, focusing around Legendary Pokemon Cobalion,Terrakion,Virizion, Tornadus #98, & Thundurus #97.
